While surfing and searching through Youtube and Google I stumbled upon a tool that’s quiet versatile. By the way, it’s free. I don’t know if it will stay free for long but as at now “IT’S FREE”!!!!!!!!! Obviously there are many tools like OBS and the free version of VMix and many more, the challenge with most of them is that they have a steep learning cave and will use up most of your CPU and Graphics Card. But this tool uses quiet little of your CPU but will demand much of your graphics card, Enter: SplitCam. It works both as webcam and as a multi source Media Encoder.

So how effective is it you ask? SplitCam can and will work as a Webcam and will Encode most of your media sources and record whatever you have need of recording. How is it able to do all this? Just like many famous Encoders and Streaming Tools, Splitcam has the ability to allow you to create several scenes that will allow you to bring in different Media to your work

It will stream your Gaming; it will allow you to bring in your video stored in any format; it will capture your second or even first desktop monitor; you can bring in your browser URL if you have anything that would be brought in as a media source in that manner. I have used it with OBS Ninja to bring in my video from my phone.

More importantly this little tool allows you stream to several streaming sites simultaneously by adding your favorite streaming sites like Twitch, Facebook, YouTube and so many more. The only one I know of that you can not stream live to from this is Instagram Live, not that the tool is a failure in itself but because the owners of Instagram only allow users to stream only from within the app and on phones only.

By the way, one has the ability to capture SplitCam as webcam from platforms like Facebook Live and stream from FB without clicking on the Live Button from SplitCam.

This is a great tool that I can recommend to all kinds of Users from the Bloggers to those that would stream for larger audiences, that is if you are looking for a free tool, SplitCam in my view is the way to go.
